AlumierMD Chemical Peels in Exeter
Tailored Skin Peels with Little to No Downtime for Most People
A chemical peel is one of the most effective ways to help brighten dull skin, smooth texture and support skin prone to pigmentation and breakouts. At Clear Calm Skin, every peel is chosen for your skin after a proper consultation, using the AlumierMD range, and finished with a relaxing treatment you'll look forward to. 60 minutes: £130 | 90 minutes: £150
What is a chemical peel?
A chemical peel uses a carefully selected blend of active ingredients to gently exfoliate the skin, helping to reveal a fresher, brighter-looking complexion over time. With the AlumierMD range, there is a peel to suit a wide range of skin types and concerns, so I choose yours after a proper consultation and no two treatments are exactly the same.
The peels I use include:
- AlumierMD TXA Peel: designed to help with pigmentation, brighten the skin and even out tone.
- AlumierMD 20/10 Peel: designed to help with breakouts and congestion.
- AlumierMD Radiant 30 Peel: designed to help with dullness, radiance and texture. Also a gentler choice for sensitive and redness-prone skin, including skin prone to rosacea.
Not sure which is right for you? We'll talk through your skin at your consultation, and I'll recommend the right peel and a plan to suit you.

What to expect
1. Consultation: we talk through your skin, your goals, your skincare routine and your health history, so the peel is chosen safely for you.
2. Prepare: your skin is cleansed and prepared for the peel.
3. The peel: the peel is applied and carefully monitored. Most clients feel a warm or tingling sensation, and I check in with you throughout.
4. A mask is applied with a neck and shoulder massage.
5. Dermalux LED: you relax under LED light therapy, with either Reiki or a hand and arm massage.
6. Aftercare: you go home with a post-procedure kit and clear instructions to protect and care for your skin.
Downtime and aftercare
Most clients can go straight back to their day, with little to no downtime. Your skin may look pink or feel slightly tight for a short time, and some people notice mild flaking over the following few days.
Your post-procedure kit and aftercare advice will guide you through the days that follow. Daily SPF is essential, and I'll explain what to avoid, including direct sun and other active skincare products, until your skin has settled.
Is a chemical peel right for me?
There is a peel to suit a wide range of skin types, but peels aren't suitable for everyone, or at every time. I'm unable to offer chemical peels during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Please also let me know before booking if you have rosacea or very reactive skin, an active skin infection or open wounds, are taking certain medications, or have recently had sun exposure or other skin treatments, so I can choose the right peel and check it's suitable for you. If you're unsure, a Skin Education & Consultation (£50, including a complimentary Dermalux session) is a great place to start.
Frequently asked questions
Does a chemical peel hurt?
Most clients feel a warm or tingling sensation, which is usually well tolerated. I check in with you throughout.
How often should I have a peel?
It depends on your skin and goals. Many clients have a course of treatments, usually spaced a few weeks apart, and I'll recommend a plan that suits you.
Will my skin peel?
Some clients notice mild flaking, while others see very little. Everyone's skin reacts differently, and I'll explain what to expect for you.
What's included in the price?
Your peel, a Dermalux LED treatment, a post-procedure kit, a neck and shoulder massage, and either Reiki or a hand and arm massage. The 90-minute peel is bespoke and can include an extra exfoliation and longer under LED.
What's the difference between the 60 and 90-minute peel?
The 90-minute peel is longer and more in-depth, with more time to tailor the treatment to your skin.
Where are you based?
